Why Does My Pelvis Hurt During Pregnancy 

My name is Emily and I am an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist working in Andover, Hampshire. I created 'Emily the Physio' to provide high quality, evidence-based treatments to the people of Andover. I believe everyone deserves top quality care, to feel their problem has been listened to and be provided with a well round treatment plan to include manual therapy, exercise and advice. 'Emily the Physio' also differs from other clinics as I also work within the NHS, so I am able to give more specific advice/guidance about accessing scans, consultant referrals and post surgery treatment. My career started within the NHS and sport, progressing to work with national and international level athletes (including within the army) within football, boxing, rugby league and shooting. This role came with amazing opportunities to tour around Europe with athletes, work with some fantastic coaching/clinical staff and gain experience with GB medical teams. Throughout my career, creating high quality rehabilitation programmes along with effective manual therapy has always been a true passion of mine. I have a Masters degree in Sports Medicine, Exercise and health as well as extra qualifications in chronic pain, Pilates, acupuncture, cupping therapy, taping and advanced manual therapy techniques. This means I can provide a variety of high quality treatments to all clients for a variety of conditions. Pregnancy/ Post natal care This area of interest grew over the years and I became passionate about empowering women to be prepared and enjoy their amazing journey through pregnancy to motherhood and beyond. With extra training, qualifications (including breast health treatment & hypnobirthing) and membership to the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP), I am able to offer high quality, evidence-based care for both the Mind and Body to women across Hampshire.
